Innovation Fellowship - Fall 2025

Federation for Innovation in Democracy - North America (FIDE – North America) is recruiting a part-time Innovation Fellow for Fall 2025. The anticipated start date for this position is Monday, September 8. Fellows will be paid $20 per hour and are expected to work 6-8 hours a week. This is a hybrid position; Fellows are asked to be present for weekly check-ins at our office at the Open Gov Hub (1100 13th St NW STE 800, Washington, DC 20005).

Responsibilities
Primary:
Communications support. FIDE - North America aims to spread the word about Citizens' Assemblies and our work to partners in government and civil society.
Fellows will assist with the design of a social media and communications strategy for audiences in government and civil society in North America
Fellows will draft public communications material (op-eds, pitch decks) and social media posts
Secondary:
Program and research support. FIDE - North America implements programs to train, design, and evaluate Citizens' Assemblies in the United States and Canada.
Fellows will support research and/or reviews of topics in deliberative democracy and institutional reform, such as stakeholder mapping and analysis of trends or activities in the democratic reform space
Time permitting, Fellows will assist with ad hoc program management duties, such as preparation of materials and runs-of-show for conferences and convenings
