AUTUMN SCHOOL ON CITIZENS’ ASSEMBLIES

HELSINKI

12-13 October

The Finnish Fall was home to 46 participants from 15 countries who came together for an intensive learning experience. This capacity-building event was organised in partnership with Sitra, the Finnish Innovation Fund. The two-day school empowered policy-makers and civil society with the building blocks of Citizens' Assemblies. The programme was structured around real-world case studies presented by international experts in the field of Deliberative Democracy. This practical approach aims to help participants transfer the knowledge presented into their own context.

We believe deliberation has its purpose as a broader societal tool, beyond assemblies. That’s why our events are characterised by group discussions and collective co-creation. The ideas and experiences brought by participants are as enriching as those of our speakers. Find out more about our session structure in the School’s programme.
